Noted chef and host of the hit Food Network television show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives was recently in the Cypress studios of Creative Media Recording to do some voiceover recording. The energetic TV host travels the nation in search of the hidden gems of independent mom and pop restaurants that serve great food. Guy Fieri calls it real food from real people.
Fieri was in West Orange County the second week of February filming segments for DD&D. Page Productions, the producers of the show, contracted with CMR to record voiceover elements for two complete episodes that were nearly finalized and ready for airing. The producer of the program listened in via digital phone patch and the completed audio files were uploaded to an FTP server for use by the video editors. The voiceover covered episodes that were shot in Hawaii, Santa Cruz and other spots in the U.S.

Other recent projects include complete audio sweetening for an independent short film titled The Bourne Stupidity, a spoof on the well known action series. The film was directed by Michael Harrington and is being submitted to various film festivals around the world. CMR provided action sequence sound effects and foley effects of punches and kicks along with ADR to clean up some voice segments by the actors involved. The original sound, shot on location in Southern California, was sweetened to make it more understandable and to balance out audio levels. Tim Keenan then provided a mix of these elements for the video editor to incorporate back into the video edit.
